The site should be usable by everyone. Here is how far we have got.
SYNEGRO is a private company and is not covered by the Danish act on the accessibility of public sector websites. We follow it anyway — because the clients we work for do. The target is WCAG 2.1 level AA. Last reviewed .
Status
Partially compliant — with the limitations set out here.
What has been done
- All content can be reached and operated with a keyboard. Focus is visible, and there is a skip link to the content at the top of every page.
- Text and background meet the contrast requirement of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large headings — including in the dark sections.
- The site can be zoomed to 200 % and used on a phone without horizontal scrolling. Text reflows; no content requires a particular screen size.
- Headings, lists, tables and form fields are coded semantically. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text.
- Motion — the opening, scroll reveals and counting numbers — is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion. Nothing flashes.
- The choice between the tracks, the choice of language and the filters on the Insights page are buttons with state that a screen reader can announce.
Known limitations
- The calculators. The U-value calculator, the energy frame calculator and the climate check are separate tools with their own interfaces. They can be operated with a keyboard, but section drawings and charts have only partial text alternatives. The result is always given as text.
- The Master Strategy Dashboard. The demo is built for a large screen and for mouse operation. It is not fully accessible, and that is stated where it opens. It is a demo — not a prerequisite for using the site or the services. It is in Danish only.
- PDF briefing documents. The briefing documents you can have sent are documents from our document system. They are tagged with headings but have not been checked against PDF/UA. Ask for the Word version if the PDF does not work for you.
- The project journey. The side panel that follows as you scroll updates with aria-live. If a screen reader announces too much, all the information is also in the phase list itself.
If something does not work for you
Write to info@synegro.dk and tell us which page and what did not work. We fix it or send the content in a form that works — usually within two working days. That also applies to the proposals and agreements you receive from us.
The site is built as static pages with no framework, so corrections can be made in the code itself without waiting for a supplier.
